Trip Description

The trip starts in Dulikhel and takes visitors to Namo Buddha, where they can explore the sacred monastery. Then, they proceed to Balthali Ecohill Resort, enjoying the scenic beauty and eco-friendly amenities. The next day, they visit Nepane village, experiencing authentic Tamang culture. After returning to the resort for another night, they conclude the journey in Panauti, exploring the city's religious and historic sites before bidding farewell to Nepal's cultural and natural wonders.

Detailed Routine

Day 01:Drive to Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha (1982m) and trek to Balthali (1,730m) After breakfast in Kathmandu you will drive to Dhulikhel, we drive/walk to Namo Buddha (1982m), situated on hill above Panauti (nearly 3 hours of walk) is an amazing stupas & monastries related to the Buddha, which is commemorated by an ancient stone slab and a Stupa with the all-seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. Later, we walk another three hours and reach the enchanting Balthali village offering excellent mountain views including Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang and Gaurishankar Range. Day 02:Around Balthali Today you will visit a typical Tamang village, Nepane and Dada Gaun (2100m), where Buddhist Community lives. It is very traditional and secluded from the modern world. Here people and animals live together side by side. We then walk to Pada Gaun (2100m), from where one can have extremely good views of the Himalayan range. to north and beautiful green forest of Mahabharat Overnight at resort.

Day 03:Balthali to Panauti (1400 m.) and to Kathmandu Today we take leisurely walk to the thriving Newari village of Panauti. Panauti is wedged between the Punyamata and Roshi streams. Panauti forms the shape of a triangle with a serpent (naga) idol standing at each of its three corners to protect from floods. Pride of this place goes to the massive, three-tiered Indreshwor Mahadev. It is believed that the original structure that was raised here in 1294 AD, which would make it the oldest surviving Nepal. On the way to Panauti we will have an opportunity to visit lovely temples and interesting old houses, particularly beautiful areas some fourteenth century wooden temple struts. After the walk around 4 hours, we drive to Kathmandu.

  • Lunch and evening meals in Kathmandu(and also in the case of early return from mountain than the scheduled itinerary)

  • Personal expenses (phone calls, laundry, bar bills, battery recharge, extra porters, bottle or boiled water, shower etc)
